January 11th: Eternal Life
Yesterday, as we continued through our 21 days of prayer, we turned our attention to Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer recorded in John 17, which He prayed while in the Garden of Gethsemane, in the hours leading up to death on the cross; giving us a glimpse into His relationship with God the Father and shows us His heart.
It begins: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
As you spend time in prayer today, spend time praising and giving glory to God for what He has done through Jesus in your life: giving you eternal life.
