January 12th: I Have Manifested Your Name
As we continue our way through the 21 days of prayer, and through John 17, in particular, I would like for us to stop and consider the followings words of Jesus, from John 17:6-8
“I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything you have given me is from you. For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you send me.”
In context, Jesus is praising God for the role He played in revealing God & His Word to the disciples, and for the way it resulted in them believing in Jesus.
As you spend time in prayer today, spend time praising God for the different individuals that He has used in your life to bring you to an understanding of and belief in the Gospel. At the same time, spend time praying for those whom God has & is using you to serve as a witness to.
